Office Administrators:

Things to keep in mind:

1. Please give the patient an estimate of cost depending on time of procedure prior to scheduling appointment.

2. We will contact patient at least 1 business day prior to appointment.  If there are any questions or concerns prior to then, please feel free to contact us earlier.

3. Estimate of medical insurance coverage is asked to be done either by office or by patient, but keep in mind that most PPO insurance will cover some for a child less than 7 ears old, or all of the fee, minus any deductibles (even if over the phone they say that they have “no dental coverage”).  Most insurances will not give a pre-authorization for outpatient procedures such as this unless the patient is older than 7 years old.  Pre-authorizations normally take 4-6 weeks and need to be submitted by your office and include visit notes.  DSHS normally covers GA for dental care if less than 8 years old and / or 3 or more extractions are involved.

4. After insurance verification has been emailed or faxed it will be emailed back to your office within 2 business days.  If you have not heard from us, please contact us at the billing office (360) 727-8044.  At the bottom of the form, the benefits will be written and patient needs to be informed of their benefits.
